Station 1 (mostly used for running)

Yaesu 1000MP and Alpha 87A, ICE 419 bandpass filter

Station 2 (mostly used for S&P)

Kenwood 940 and Command Technologies HF-2500, W3NQN design bandpass filter

You might expect the Alpha to be on the S&P station because it is autotune and that's how I originally started. However, I think the Alpha is better suited to the rigors of my run station plus outside of contests, I don't have to tune the amp while chasing DX (yeah that's the ultimate in lazy).
Don't get me wrong, the HF-2500 is a fine amp! It's just not an Alpha.

For SO2R I use Writelog and their switch box. This is their first version (no longer sold) that came in a kit. I've been so happy with the arrangement that I have never considered changing programs or control box.

I only have two rotators. They started out as Hy-Gain T2X but the loads were just too much. I eventually replaced them with RD-1800 rotators from CATS. During that time, I got very good at rebuilding the T2X! The RD-1800's have held up wonderfully. I would highly recommend them if you want to replace a T2X.

The guys in the local PVRC chapter (Rappahannock), who by the way are some of the finest hams I've ever been associated with, were a big help with the antenna and tower work. I'm not big on climbing so K7SV and K4GMH did the vast majority of "high" tower work. The guys on the ground were great with rigging, providing "guidance" for the guys on the tower, or anything else that needed to be done. In subsequent years, K1SE has been a big help whether it's working on the 160 array, beverages, or neighbor RFI problems.
