PVRC  REUNION ON-THE-AIR Celebration

2011 Rules

 

Revised:  May 12, 2011  (DRAFT – to add two evening operating periods, one on each day)

 

 

 

1.      Eligibility: All members of PVRC worldwide (Once a member, always a member!).

 

2. Object: To contact as many PVRC members around the world as possible, using all 6 HF bands from 10 – 160 meters.

 

3. Date: Always the first weekend in June. The 2011 reunion will be June 4th, 5th, and 6th.

 

4. Suggested Frequencies

 

CW:             1817, 3547, 7047, 14047, 21047, & 28047 kHz.

Phone: 1847, 3847, 7247, 14247, 21247, 28447

RTTY:            3585, 7038, 14085, 21085 and 28085.

 

5. Contest period:  June 4, 0000Z through June 6, 0200Z.

 

Suggested “high activity” periods: 

 

Saturday:  13:00z – 15:00z (9:00am to 11:00am EDT)

Saturday:  18:00z – 20:00z (2:00pm to 4:00pm EDT)

Saturday:  23:00z – 02:00z (7:00pm to 10:00pm EDT) new

 

Sunday:     13:00z – 15:00z (9:00am to 11:00am EDT)

Sunday:     18:00z – 20:00z (2:00pm to 4:00pm EDT)

            Sunday:     23:00z – 02:00z (7:00pm to 10:00pm EDT) new

 

Check for activity on 10, 15 and 160 meters on the half hour.

 

6.   Exchange:

 

PVRC members - send the year you became a PVRC member, your name, your QTH (50 U.S. States plus DC, 14 Canadian provinces or DXCC country) and call sign when you joined PVRC.

7. Scoring: 

 

Count total number of PVRC QSOs * number of PVRC multipliers. 

 

Multipliers are States, DC, VE Provinces, and DXCC countries (excluding USA).

 

In addition to geographic multipliers, QSOs with special calls W3GRF, W4KFC, W3AU and W7YS (charter members of PVRC) count as multipliers.  All multipliers count once per band, regardless of mode. 

 

 

8.  Awards (Electronic Recognition / Publication of results)

 

1.                              Top 5 Scores – High Power

2.                              Top 5 Scores – Low Power

 

QRP class awards will be added if scores are deemed significant.

 

9.  Score Reporting

 

Report a summary of your activity as follows:

 

1.       Total number of all QSOs

2.      Total number of multipliers

3.      Total score
